One down!

It has been about a week now and finally some more progress! and when I say progress I really mean it, we are done one of the dresses! Yesterday actually, Katie, came by to start on her cosplay of Ashe from League of Legends and we got all the pieces cut out and ready for sewing. Of course the day wasn't as simple as that. I had my very last exam of the semester so now I can finally concentrate fully on making these costumes. But yesterday after my exam, I met Katie at Pacific Mall in Markham/Toronto because she had dropped her GS3 and needed the screen repaired. About every person I know that has that phone has broken their screens, it's like the fate of that phone. So Meli joined us as well before going to work and we fished around for prices which ranged from $140 to $250. Needless to say, we went with the lowest price and while we waited for it to be fixed, we walked around and shopped a bit. After we picked up the phone, Meli went to work and Katie and I went to Green Grove for some tea before heading to my place to work on stuff.
Lately it has been a habit of mine to get a scratch card whenever I go for tea, yesterday was not the exception. And I won around $50~ except I spent around $16, so realistically only made $32. In any case, it was exciting.

Now, back to today. The day didn't start as early as I had thought it would since Meli was supposed to text me around 11, but when my alarm went off and I saw no messages on my phone, I went back to sleep. What had happened was that Meli set her alarm for p.m. instead of a.m. so she ended up sleeping in! After a lot of laughing, Meli got to my place at around 2ish with cool lime refreshers with a shot of matcha from Starbucks. After that, we really put our gears on and worked on our cosplays. I personally don't think I did much, but we are finally done with one of the cosplays (Annie). I also advanced on the headpieces for Sona! it was a very productive day. And tomorrow, I am off to see Colton for lunch, walking around and of course, leather and fabric shopping. Have a good day every one!
